eIFL.net "is an independent foundation that strives to lead, negotiate, support and advocate for the wide availability of electronic resources by library users in transition and developing countries. Its main focus is on negotiating affordable subscriptions on a multi-country consortial basis, while supporting the enhancement of emerging national library consortia in member countries." There also some free resources at the eIFL.net website too.(www.eifl.net)

New Consortia Formed:
The formation of three Consortia by the Librarians at the Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education was to enable them share and access e-resources.These consortia include:
1. Nigerian University Libraries Consortium (NULIC)
2. Nigerian Monotechnic,Polytechnic Libraries Consortium (NIMPOLIC)
3. Nigerian Colleges of Education Libraries Consortium (NCELIC)

NULIC is already a member of eIFL.net while efforts is being made to register the others. The three would form the nucleos of the NATIONAL CONSORTIUM IN NIGERIA named CONLIB-Consortium of Nigerian Libraries. It is my hope that Special/Government, and Law Libraries would also formed theirs.
